Overview

Job Summary

The Data Integration Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient data integration pipelines across multiple enterprise platforms. This role supports the firms data integration needs by developing and maintaining workflows that ensure accurate, timely, and well-documented data movement. The position plays a critical role in supporting enterprise-wide systems and ensuring data consistency across business applications.

Responsibilities

Work Performed and Job Requirements

  • ETL Design & Development
    • Design and implement scalable ETL pipelines across platforms including Deltek Vantagepoint, Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, IronClad, HubSpot, and Microsoft SQL Server.
    • Build and maintain automated data flows using tools such as Workato, CData, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
    • Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
    • Push and stage data using SQL Server to support integration efforts.
  • Integration Management & Operations
    • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure consistent and reliable performance.
    • Provide production support for existing ETL processes, including issue resolution and root cause analysis.
    • Perform performance tuning and optimization of ETL and data integration processes.
  • Collaboration & Project Coordination
    • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver integrated, high-quality data solutions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using project management tools such as Jira to manage timelines and deliverables.
    • Communicate issues, risks, and status updates proactively to leadership.
  • Governance, Documentation & Testing
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, process maps, and integration specifications.
    • Contribute to the enforcement of data governance and quality standards.
    • Conduct software reviews and support testing activities to ensure data integrity and functionality.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Training

Minimum of a bachelors degree in computer science, data engineering, information systems, or related field required.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data integration, ETL development, and system interoperability required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong experience in data integration, ETL development, and enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Deltek Vantagepoint, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with enterprise data warehouses, APIs, and integration tools such as Workato, CData, and SSIS.
  • Familiarity with legal and marketing tech platforms such as IronClad and HubSpot.
  • Solid understanding of integration design patterns, agile development practices, and the use of tools like Jira for task management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with keen attention to data accuracy and detail.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Discreet and professional in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to team development.

The posted salary range for this role at HMA includes a range of factors that we consider when making compensation decisions. These factors include but are not limited to experience, education, training, skills, licensures, and certifications, along with other business and organizational needs. HMA may adjust the posted salary range estimate for applicable geographic differentials associated with the location where we may fill the position. At HMA, we generally do not hire an individual at or near the top of the range for their role. All compensation decisions are dependent on the variables of each case. A reasonable estimate of the existing salary range for this position is $110,000-$140,000 annually.
