We desire a pastor who will help us get back to our 4 Bs (New Beginnings, A Place to Belong, A Place to Bear Fruit, and Build-Up). We want to be a place that is desirable to families and build-up a youth program again, including Childrens Church and youth group.
We are looking for someone to lead us in our mission priorities that we have identified including spiritual formation opportunities for all ages, re-engaging with the community, and being good stewards of the resources God has given to Community Covenant Church.
Our pastor would be responsible for leading weekly worship, helping to guide our worship team in choosing songs, leading prayer, and doing a sermon that goes along in a series or focuses on a book in the Bible (less on focusing on the lectionary). They would also provide pastoral care to our congregation, meet with people in our community both at the church or out in various businesses.
We have a majority congregation of retired people, but know there is a desire in the community to find a home church. We are excited for a pastor to bring a fresh perspective to our church and revitalize our community.
