Base pay range

$250.00/hr - $300.00/hr

At St. Johns Community Health , we believe mental health is just as important as physical health. Thats why our Integrated Behavioral Health team provides compassionate, culturally responsive care for children, teens, and adults.

Were growing and seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join us as a 1099 contractor on a part-time basis . In this role, youll provide psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and medication management while collaborating with primary care providers, psychologists, social workers, and other professionals to deliver whole-person care to patients with psychiatric and/or substance use needs.

What Youll Do

• Diagnose and manage psychiatric and/or substance use disorders, ensuring accurate assessments and effective medication management.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including safety assessments and 5150 determinations.
• Collaborate with Behavioral Health staff during triage and support continuity of care.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and readiness for change.
• Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with policies and standards.

What Were Looking For

• MD in Psychiatry with valid California Medical License & DEA Certificate.
• BLS & PALS certification.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 3 years of residency).
• In good standing with all licensing boards.
• Experience integrating behavioral health into primary care preferred.
• Skilled in evidence-based treatments (e.g., motivational interviewing, harm reduction, CBT).
• Experience treating patients with addiction (alcohol, drugs, food, gambling).
• Familiarity with EHR systems.
