Job Description

As a Retail Operations Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring the store operates smoothly. Your responsibilities will include merchandising and stocking products, processing customer transactions, and maintaining store cleanliness to provide an inviting shopping environment. You will contribute to a positive customer experience by collaborating effectively with the team and delivering outstanding service. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.50 Year 3 - $19.00 Year 4 - $19.00 Year 5 - $20.00 Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) essential for the role.
• Process customer purchases accurately, perform general cleaning duties, and neatly stock shelves and merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping needs.
• Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with the store management team.
• Offer feedback to management regarding products, inventory discrepancies, scanning errors, and other operational concerns.
• Participate in store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitor inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures to minimize losses.
• Comply with established company policies while ensuring the confidentiality and security of documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stock and shelf merchandise, lifting products up to 45 pounds at various heights.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and move throughout the store.
• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficient in providing prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately.
• Safely and correctly operate equipment, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler.
• Capable of performing cleaning duties to company standards.
• Familiarity with company policies and procedures and the ability to apply them.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Stay organized, detail-oriented, follow instructions, and multitask effectively.
• Meet any local and state requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• A combination of education and relevant experience is acceptable.
