Join our dynamic team as a Retail Store Associate, where you will play a vital role in creating an inviting shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, managing cashier duties, and keeping the store clean and organized. Your collaborative efforts with the ALDI team will be crucial in delivering exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.50 Year 3 - $19.00 Year 4 - $19.00 Year 5 - $20.00 Duties and Responsibilities: Consistently demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as outlined for the role. Process customer purchases, perform general cleaning duties, stock shelves, and merchandise displays neatly. Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience. Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with store management. Provide feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues. Participate in taking store inventory counts and monitor inventory for accuracy. Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses. Comply with all company policies and procedures while upholding security and confidentiality of documents and data. Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: Ability to stock merchandise from receiving to shelving; able to place product weighing up to 45 pounds on shelving at various heights. Required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store regularly. Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service. Ability to efficiently and accurately operate a cash register. Ability to safely operate equipment, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler. Perform general cleaning duties to company standards. Interpret and apply company policies and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Work both independently and within a team environment. Stay organized, pay attention to detail, follow instructions, and multi-task efficiently. Meet any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior retail experience preferred. A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
