As a Retail Team Associate, you will play a key role in enhancing the customer shopping experience by merchandising and stocking products, operating the cash register, and maintaining a clean and inviting store environment. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.50 Year 3 - $19.00 Year 4 - $19.00 Year 5 - $20.00 Duties and Responsibilities: Consistently demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) in your daily tasks. Process customer purchases efficiently while maintaining cleanliness across the store. Stock shelves and merchandise displays to create an attractive shopping environment. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their shopping needs. Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly with store management. Offer constructive feedback to management regarding products, inventory discrepancies, and store issues. Participate in store inventory counts and ensure the accuracy of inventory records. Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses and adhere to company policies. Other duties as assigned to support store operations. Physical Demands: Ability to stock merchandise from the receiving area to shelves; ability to lift and place items weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, and move throughout the store. Might need to perform these duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Dedicates to providing prompt and courteous customer service. Proficient in operating a cash register efficiently and with accuracy. Ability to safely operate necessary equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers. Maintain high cleaning standards in accordance with company policies. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Must meet state and local regulations for handling and selling alcoholic beverages. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Prior experience in a retail environment is a plus. A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
