Job Title: Revenue Accountant
Location: Remote (must be on the East Coast)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Revenue Accountant to join our clients Finance team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will be responsible for key revenue accounting functions, including contract analysis, revenue recognition, AR analysis, and policy maintenance. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accuracy, compliance, and process efficiency, supporting the company’s ongoing growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly revenue accounting tasks, including contract reviews , revenue reconciliations , deferred/unearned revenue adjustments , and flux analysis
• Ensure all revenue transactions comply with GAAP and company policies; identify and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Analyze AR-related accounts, including unbilled receivables , unapplied cash , and bad debt , and prepare monthly allowance adjustments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Billing, Legal, and broader Finance) to ensure revenue accuracy and alignment
• Partner with the Accounts Receivable team by providing timely reporting and supporting the resolution of discrepancies or escalations
• Monitor AR activities and track collection efforts to ensure timely payments and invoicing accuracy
• Maintain and update the company’s revenue recognition policy and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to align with business and regulatory changes
• Support quarterly and annual audit processes , ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and consistent interpretation of revenue guidance
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives , streamlining revenue operations for scalability and growth
• Manage ad hoc projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Revenue Accounting, Technical Accounting, or Public Accounting (B2B or retail experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 and GAAP revenue recognition standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel , with experience handling large data sets
• Experience with ERP systems ; Oracle Cloud preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, high-growth environment
