Position Description:

The Sales & Marketing Specialist (SMS) will serve as the principal point of contact for broker and prospective member organization outreach. SMS will forge strong relationships within the community to cultivate leads and provide education on the many unique benefits of being a JHP member. SMS will develop subject matter expertise in all aspects of the health insurance industry and Jefferson Health Plan program offerings. Using this knowledge, SMS will research and analyze prospective client plans to assist in recommending solutions that meet their self-insurance needs. SMS will routinely conduct sales, marketing, and educational seminar presentations, in both small and large group settings, to prospects, brokers, vendors, and other stakeholders. SMS will work closely with JHP leadership, sales/marketing, account management, financial, and underwriting teams to achieve best-in-class client outcomes.

Location:

Home Office in Steubenville, Ohio (suburb of Pittsburgh, PA). Remote worksite is negotiable for highly qualified candidates.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree or above preferred.
2. Demonstrated experience in health insurance sales/marketing, client services, account management, or underwriting preferred.
3. Strong communication skills across all mediums required.
4. Possess or ability to possess health and life insurance licensure, Ohio preferred.
5. Aptitude for all aspects of the sales and marketing process from developing relationships and maintaining market expertise to tailoring unique solutions for prospect needs resulting in a smooth transition to JHP membership.
6. Ability to regularly travel throughout all JHP markets required (often day trips during business hours but overnight and/or flight travel will be required).
7. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform experience preferred (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.)
8. Must possess and maintain valid US drivers license.
