Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dedicated professional is sought to provide guidance and support within a high school setting. This part-time position involves working closely with students to address their academic, social, and emotional needs, ensuring a positive and productive school environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Counseling or a related field
• Valid Alabama Teacher Certification as a Secondary School Guidance Counselor
• Experience working with high school students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and staff
• Commitment to student success and well-being
• Fingerprinting required for background check

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate counseling services into the classroom
• Develop and implement comprehensive guidance programs
• Assist students in academic planning and goal setting
• Monitor student progress and adjust counseling strategies as needed
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student development
• Facilitate crisis intervention and provide support during challenging situations
