As a Security Officer – Unarmed Patrol in HUNTINGTON , WV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a chemical and petrochemical location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all personnel and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as you monitor different areas of the site. You will also be a critical point of contact, responding to various situations with professionalism and clear communication. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism throughout all interactions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or potential hazards within the location.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Assist with access control measures, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Document and communicate all security-related incidents and observations according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and/or emergency services during emergency situations as directed by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving responsibilities, in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
