As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with guests and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within the retail location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail space and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related incidents to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials as required, and helping to manage visitor flow.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any irregularities or breaches of policy.
  • Collaborate with store staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters and provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
