Egnyte is seeking a Software Engineer to work on cutting-edge AI/ML projects, contributing to the development and integration of Generative AI and machine learning solutions at scale. As a Software Engineer, you will focus on designing, implementing, and deploying AI systems to enhance Egnyte's platform capabilities. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges, optimize AI workflows, and ensure seamless delivery of solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML features for Egnyte's platform.
  • Build and optimize Generative AI solutions, such as NLP-based models, to enhance user experiences and platform functionalities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Data Science, to translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions.
  • Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Write clean, efficient, and production-ready code, following best practices in software engineering.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and apply them to relevant projects.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering practices across the team.
  • Monitor and maintain deployed models, ensuring continuous improvement and reliability.

Your Qualifications:

  • 2+ years as a full-time Engineer at a SaaS or Software company.
  • Strong foundation in computer science, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Programming experience using Java and integrating AI/ML models into production.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning techniques, including Generative AI (RAG pipelines, LLMs, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering).
  • Experience working with Python and using ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras, and Hugging Face.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as GCP or AWS, and distributed computing environments.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes.
  • Solid communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to be in office 3 days per week.

Bonus Skills:

  • Familiarity with LangChain, OpenAI APIs, or other Generative AI platforms.
  • Experience with additional programming languages such as Go or Scala.
  • Exposure to ML pipelines and frameworks like Kubeflow.
  • Knowledge of computer vision or multimodal machine learning techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation:

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across multiple U.S. geographic locations, and pay varies based on defined markets. The standard base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $115k - $150k annually. Pay varies by work location and may also be dependent on job-related skills, knowledge, and/or experience. During the interview and/or hiring process, your recruiter can share more information about the compensation package specific to the role and job location.
