We are seeking an Unarmed Security Officer - to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons.

This is a part-time role for an Unarmed Security located in the Reston area. The Unarmed Security will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients and employees, patrolling designated areas, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The Unarmed Security will also respond to emergency situations and provide first aid if needed.

This site is Sat, Sun, Mon 0730 - 1630

Open role starting immediately 

Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Report any facility issues and hazards.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.

​ Qualifications:

• Must have experience as a security guard or military / law enforcement experience.
• Knowledge of firearms and other security equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have and maintain an unarmed and armed DCJS security license.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work under pressure and in stressful situations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation & communication
• Must be able to meet physical requirements and pass physical ability test.
