As a Unarmed Security Officer - Front Desk in Savannah, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors, employees, and contractors. Your primary responsibilities will include managing access control, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming and professional presence at the front desk. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible and approachable demeanor, while also utilizing computer or tablet systems to support daily operations. Exceptional customer service and clear communication are key, as you assist guests and respond to inquiries. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access to the facility, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required by site procedures.
• Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, including communication with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities.
• Support a professional and welcoming environment at the front desk, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
