Our client is a growing nonprofit organization dedicated to serving vulnerable populations through impactful programs and donor-supported initiatives. We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated part-time Marketing Assistant to support our marketing and outreach efforts.

Role: Marketing Assistant

Employment Type: Part-time (20 to 25 hours per week, flexible schedule)

Duration: 6-month contract, with potential for extension

Location: Remote, preference for candidates residing in Washington state

Pay: $22-26/hour

Onboarding Requirements: Background Check

Target Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and distribute donor outreach letters and emails to increase engagement
• Design newsletters and marketing materials using Canva
• Post regularly on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and grow followers
• Update and maintain website content via Squarespace
• Assist with donor database management and preparations for the annual fundraising auction
• Provide general administrative and marketing support to Executive Director and Program Manager

• At least three years of experience in social media marketing, marketing support, design, and/or community engagement.
• Proficiency with graphic design tools, particularly Canva, for creating detailed and effective marketing assets.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote work environment.
• Experience with Squarespace or similar website management platforms.
• Strong understanding of branded content and donor communication strategies.
• Sensitivity to the needs of vulnerable populations and a mission-driven mindset.
• Knowledge of social media advertising techniques and analytics tools such as Facebook Insights.
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Residing in Washington state for familiarity with the local community and nonprofit landscape
• Bonus if experienced with donor databases or CRM software
