Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for an ERMHS/ERICS Counselor for the 2025-2026 school year. This role involves providing counseling services across 3-4 school sites located near Crescent City, CA, with a focus on serving a mixed age group caseload. The position is based in Gasquet, CA, and offers the chance to contribute to students emotional and behavioral health in a dynamic educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide therapeutic counseling to students with varying emotional and behavioral needs
• Manage a caseload that includes a mix of age groups, adapting strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with school staff and families to support student success and well-being
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans
• Maintain confidential records and documentation in compliance with relevant guidelines
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and support

Qualifications:

• Valid certification and experience as an ERMHS/ERICS counselor preferred
• Proven ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multiple school sites
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a mixed age caseload and adapt counseling techniques as needed
• Knowledge of school-based mental health policies and procedures
